ADIDAS re-launches Stan Smith

Adidas has re-launched Stan Smith – one of the most iconic shoe styles known globally. There is deservedly a lot of hype around The Return of Stan Smith, and with good reason – it is the best selling shoe of all time. Since its launch in 1971, over 40 million pairs have been sold worldwide and after going off the market in 2012, it has returned after a two year break with its original design still intact offering a choice of three different coloured tabs – green, navy and red.

There is currently a giant Adidas pop-up in the form of a large shoe box until 19th January, just off Brick Lane near The Old Truman Brewery where is a limited stock of Stan Smith shoes available to buy. It comes with a in a limited edition shoebox and a Stan Smith carrier bag. There are special digital stations at the pop-up where you can have your very own Stan Smith icon printed out onto stickers with your face and signature – a pretty interesting experience I tried for myself when I went to the launch party a few days ago. Amongst the guests at the party were Conor Maynard, Kesi Dryden and Piers Agget of Rudimental, Asher D and Wretch32.

As of this moment, the green tab Stan Smith is completely sold out on Adidas’ website and several online retailers but you may have some luck by heading down to the pop-up store. If you really want a pair in green, get down there quickly before it goes!
