Elite London #elitemodellook – the models learn all about the catwalk

Last Saturday the 22 finalists (11 girls and 11 boys) were taught all about walking the catwalk for the very first time. It was all very exciting to see the models quickly mature into walking like a pro. There were two sessions – one in the morning lasting over 3 hours and another in the afternoon spanning 2 hours. As with most things, some girls and boys were quicker to get the techniques right – we all learn at different paces and in different ways. Catwalk training was all about learning the basics: body alignment, postural strength, attitude, balance and how to stop then turn. It was great to see Leah (Head Model Scout) and Michelangelo (Director of the agency) nurture the models and help them grow.

In the evening we were all divided into groups and driven off in separate taxis to Buckingham Palace, where all the models performed a flash mob, mock-up catwalk show in front of the hundreds of tourists. It was their very first taste of performing in front of the public, and boy did they perform! It created an INCREDIBLE buzz and excitement all around the area. I will be covering that one, in my next post!
