The V&A’s Alexander McQueen shop

Unless you have been hiding yourself away somewhere remote and have cut yourself off from the world, you have must likely heard and read a lot about the opening of the V&A’s new exhibition, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. I went down to the press preview two days before it opened to the general public last Saturday. There is one really interesting part of the museum you may not have heard about, and that is a very special shop opened to coincide with the exhibition – the Alexander McQueen shop. It is situated by the exit of the exhibition and features a special limited range of products made for fans of the designer. Here is a select list of a few items that caught my eyes. My single personal favourite is the Armadillo boot object. My God, who wouldn’t want one?

Those lenticular prints (above) were breath-taking to look at. You can see my video of it by clicking here.

Great shop. Unfortunately I missed the boat on getting tickets to the exhibition! Some really quirky and interesting items here though (unsurprising considering who is behind them)
