You know any day that involves walking the red carpet is going to be a good day. In this case it was a blue carpet for the movie premiere for Entourage in Leicester Square. It was cloudy but I thanked my lucky stars it didn’t rain. I still remember the one time it poured down as I walked the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards. I had an umbrella at the time but it wasn’t the ideal way to have your photos taken, so for a short while I had put it away to pose for the cameras – all while getting soaked. Amazingly, if I did get wet it didn’t appear to look that way in the images I had seen later on. A miracle.

My friend Mollie told me she had never attended a movie premiere before, so I was quite thrilled I had taken her along with me because it is a pretty cool moment to experience. It can be an extremely intense feeling, in a great way. I did the same thing at the BAFTAs too – I had taken along a friend who had never walked the red carpet before and it was an evening she would forever remember. I consider myself very lucky to get to do many of the things I get to do and feel a tremendous sense of joy when I get to give others the chance to experience them too.

Inside the cinema, we were amongst a tiny group invited into the VIP area to drink some Johnnie and Ginger, eat some food and relax before we would join the rest of the guests who were there to see the movie. It was the perfect way to start the evening, and then we went into the hall to be seated, where we got to watch the blue carpet arrivals on the big screen. After a few minutes, the stars of the movie joined us in person along with the host for the evening who had talked to us about the film. Shortly after, the lights dimmed as the curtains opened and then the show began, which is certainly worth seeing. I must say, it was really good to see Jeremy Pixen in person. I am certainly a fan after watching Mr Selfridge!
