Duchamp’s AW16 presentation and backstage photos at London Collections: Men

This collection is broken up into five different styles influenced by the London lifestyle: Winter Florals, Creative Business, Tonal Layers, Innovative Textures and Artistic Features. One core feature that the brand has always championed is the fabrication of a wide range of prints and textures. Here Winter Florals are worn under contemporary wool and taken into the evening with printed silk shirting under a black woven cocktail jacket. Creative Business emphasizes on a style of dressing including contemporary tailoring for London’s cosmopolitan who shunned the traditional city wear for an arty look, such as a painted two-tone single breasted jackets. Tonal Layers focuses on textures whilst at the same time leads to Innovative Texture. Irregular yarns boasted by clean cotton worn under wool with brushed jacquard complementing tonal colours. Artistic features tells of how men use accessories to express a sense of artistic spirit. Paint effects and pencil sketch prints point to Marcel Duchamp’s love of the gentlemen’s games and chess motifs are found amongst the trims.

Below you will find more photos I took when I was invited backstage where Duchamp Creative Director Gianni Colarossi took time out to welcome me watch the collection being put together before the fashion world’s eyes. The make-up team was led by AOFM PRO’s Yin Lee using Dermalogica products. Hair was also done by AOFM PRO.
