Magnum Pink And Black – the Launch Party with Mollie King

The Saturdays singer Mollie King proved herself to be the perfect host when she welcomed guests at the Magnum ice cream party to celebrate the launch of Magnum Pink & Black – two new delicious ice creams for all of us to enjoy. At the risk of sounding biased, the ice creams are probably the best I have ever tasted. The event took place at the Institute of Contemporary Arts near Piccadilly Circus.

The venue was split into two luxury spaces of experiences. Guests in the intimately lit Magnum Pink room got to enjoy Mollie’s dreamlike floral garden scene as they sipped rose & lychee martinis while the canapé menu featured smoked salmon tartare and beetroot cubes. In the Magnum Black room, we were surrounded by the dark and brooding art deco bar scene and tasted squid ink arancini and savoured timeless espresso martinis.

We mingled and danced the night away to a DJ set provided by one of my lovely friends Laura Whitmore and tried out freshly created, personalised Magnums from a customised pink & black dipping bar. Yum.

Guests included Donna Air, Jodie Kidd, Matt Johnson, Ricki Hall, Laura Whitmore, AME, Nina Nesbitt, Laura Doggett, Amira M- Neon Jungle, Kayvan Novak and Matt Richardson.

Mollie announced that her Magnum Pink & Black experience would be open to visitors on London’s Regent Street next month on 31st May, as the road will be closed off from the traffic to make way for a special street party.

Meeting Mollie and spending time with her was a wonderful experience, and it exceeded my expectations when I found out how truly down-to-Earth she came across when talking to me. It felt just like talking to a friend. I loved her beautiful gown!
