I have to say I have never come across a pair of shoes quite like these ones before. When I heard about Oliver Sweeney partnering up with Johnnie Walker Red Label to create a special pair of brogues, I was pretty much visualising a pair of brogues with simple Johnnie Walker branding added to the shoes. To my surprise, the finished product was an ingenious piece of craftmanship. As the photos above shows, each heel has a transparent layer to reveal a concealed miniature size bottle of Johnnie Walker Red Label! The bottles can be removed and of course, stored back in the shoes again. They are pretty fancy – perfect for a night out in town and will have people talking everywhere you go.

The limited edition Oxford brogues are made in Italy and include Blake stitched construction with calf leather upper and leather sole. Available in select Oliver Sweeney stores (Conduit Street, King Street and Marylebone) and online via the Oliver Sweeney website. These pair are fun and certainly are one of the kind. I love them.

I was about to write that I want these brogues but now I NEED them! Novelty-value aside (although the miniature bottle is an excellent touch) there is so much to love about these shoes. I appreciate any classic pair of brogues but the red detail is absolutely fantastic!

These are certainly a very special pair! Collectors’ items. I think I will be keeping them forever. :)
