I had the pleasure of being one of the VIP guests for a glorious day of events with luxury jewellery brand Thomas Sabo. It all began around midday with the viewing of the spring and summer 2015 collections inside one of my favourite hotels – Claridge’s. Shortly after 6pm there was a very special private party attended by magazine journalists, celebrities, friends of Thomas Sabo, German Formula One driver Nico Erik Rosberg, Georgia Jagger and of course Mr Sabo himself. I had the pleasure of mingling with brand ambassador Ms Jagger who was every bit as charming as I expected her to be. Very shy, softly spoken and polite. We talked fashion (of course) and spoke about our favourite trends. It was a dream to spend time with her. It was also extremely pleasing to bump into supermodel Jade Parfitt – she actually approached me and initiated a conversation by reminding me where we had previously met – it was at the Louis Vuitton party! My Goodness, I have to say that every time I see her, she looks taller and more radiant than ever. She introduced me to her friends and who kept complimenting me on my dress style – I responded by telling them, “It’s only been three minutes and I love you all, already!”

By 9pm it was time for a private dinner at Claridge’s which was truly an unforgettable experience. Thomas Sabo had booked out the French Salon and Drawing Room. Dinner was several courses long (five, six, seven? I lost count) – consisting of multiple dishes with breaks in between which was brilliant as it enabled us to have good chat with the guests on our table. We never went hungry.

For dinner we had:

* Kachumber Salad
* Lobster Bisque – Ginger & Lemongrass
* Hot & Sour Broth
* Roast Les Dombes Duck Bok Choi, Same, Pickled Ginger
* Crispy Tofu, Bok Choi, Sesame, Pickled Ginger
* Yuzu Cheesecake, Raspberry Rose Lychee

On my table there were foreign press (newspapers and magazines) journalists and we all clicked instantly. We chatted about the day’s antics, took group selfies (I know, I know – but it had to be done), discussed our favourite spots in London, and poked fun at each other. We all made some good friends and have kept in touch since. The evening finished off perfectly late, near midnight when Mr Thomas Sabo was leaving with some friends, and personally conveyed his gratitude for my attendance. A wonderful gentleman. It was a night to remember. Thank you very much for a splendid day, Thomas Sabo!
