It was only my second visit to Brighton. My first was last year when a PR agency had invited me to come down for a day of fun. The train ride, from London Victoria to Brighton took less than 60 minutes. I cannot quite get over that. It takes me around the same time to go from central London to my home in west London. The moment you step outside the railway station you know you are near the sea, and it is just a straight walk down the road to get there. No turns necessary. As you get closer, the stronger the wind blows against your body, and your hair starts to fly. You see a mess of seagulls flying all around, curiously gliding past to say hello. I always forget how much big they actually are until one lands and starts to walk near you. They glance with a sense of wonder in their eyes but careful not to let you get too close to them. I do not blame them.

I was there on a press trip once again for the afternoon and once it was over, I could not miss the opportunity to wander around for a short while because if there is one important thing life has taught me, it is to always live in the moment and to spend time reflecting on your surroundings. Brighton, you are a special place.
