A design your own bag contest with BagServant

Two days ago I was made aware of a clever little website called BagServant, thanks to Leroy Dawkins. It effectively lists bags from a number of well known and trusted online retailers, and features a range of top designers from Chanel to Mulberry as well as High Street bags. Basically it’s a one-stop place where you can see all the top names in one place. I had a play with it a few times and love how you can filter out the search results depending on your specific needs – such as colour, price range, bag shape and of course, brand. It’s pretty useful.

Right now they have a competition running where you can design your own bag on their website. If the design proves to be a hit with their chosen judges, it will be created into a real bag and gifted to you.

The competition will run for four weeks and a prestigious panel of industry experts including Isobel Kershaw from Nicky Hambleton-Jones Style Consultancy, Kal Di Paola CEO/Founder of BuyMyWardrobe.com, Zoe Yates, fashion writter of Little Miss Fashion, Rachel Montague-Ebbs, Editor in Chief of LadyMPresents, Leroy Dawkins, winning fashion writer and style editor of the Diary of A ClothesHorse, Sarah Walter, CEO of www.style-passport.com will judge the designs of the public and press votes. All the voters will have the chance of winning some great prizes just for taking part, including £150 Reiss Voucher and tickets to the NHJ style event in April.

I had played with a few of my designs on the website. It’s remarkably easy and quick.
