The Louis Vuitton window displays for May 2013
Walk along the New Bond Street store and you will be dazzled by the enormous, bright windows of the New Bond Street Maison. Women with beehives are holding bags with checker board grids from a collection that is inspired by Les Deux Plateaux, more commonly known as Colonnes de Buren (“Buren’s Columns”), which is an art installation in the courtyard of the Palais Royal in Paris. They are grand and impressive in appearance.

The Marks & Spencer High Summer 2013 collection preview
Whether it’s monochrome, prints or bright pastels you are after, there will be plenty to look forward to on the high street thanks to Marks & Spencer. I had a sneaky peek at what will be made available to buy between now and late spring. The variety they had on offer was pretty impressive – lace, faux snakeskin, fluorescent, sheer and more. I love the range of swimwear that are on offer: the snakeskin swimsuit, the polka dots bikinis and floral bikinis. The beautiful white blazer adds a real touch of class to any woman looking to impress on a day out. I also like the Marcel Wanders range which includes the photographic floral clutches and sunglasses with brightly coloured frames in shades of orange and yellow. Women are going to be spoilt for choice over the spring and summer. Lucky!

RIVER ISLAND High Summer 13 Pacha collection preview

Building on a successful collaboration in 2012, River Island is once again joining forces with Ibiza nightclub and lifestyle brand Pacha to produce three more collections of premium beach to bar wear for this year’s spring and summer seasons. Every piece is influenced by the Ibizian lifestyle, mixing a little bit of heat and a little bit of chic into the blend. I must say the jewellery caught my eyes – particularly the necklaces adorned with pretty green jewels. There were lots of golds and blacks, and plenty of embellishments across tops, kaftans, shorts and jackets. Glitter on sandals.
They will all be available to buy from April 2013 when the collection will be launched in the stores and online. I have no doubt it will be another very successful year for River Island, and quite deservedly too.
