Women: coming to Clarks this spring and summer 2014

It had been at least 10 years since I had seen a pair of shoes by Clarks. I remember the time I went into the store when I was perhaps 11 or 12 and then always remember the shoes as being rather dull and cheap looking. Then a few weeks ago a PR who looks after Clarks talked me into going down to have a look. I had nothing to lose, and like to remind myself to keep an open mind. I also thought that as it had been so long since I had last had a look at a pair of shoes by the 189 year old British footwear retailer, perhaps a lot has changed. It has. The moment I had stepped into the venue on press preview day to have a close look at what it will be selling over the next few months, my eyes had really opened, and for all the right reasons. The shoes are really are quite nice. I do not think Clarks is a brand that concerns itself too much with trends such as pointed studs, holograms, florals or fluorescent colours but that did not really matter.
