I now have cool geeky glasses!

I now have fake geeky glasses!

And I love them. For God knows how long, I have been on the hunt for a good pair of geeky spectacles. I do love the geeky look. Most of the ones I saw looked crap or tacky and then one day recently, I saw a girl wearing a gorgeous pair. I simply had to find out more.

The ice-breaker I used for starting a conversation with her was to say that I wanted to steal her glasses and run off with them. Well it was true. I was not lying. I did want to run off with them. Debbie (that’s her name) found it funny and then went on to tell me that they were in fact 3D glasses. You know, the ones you can buy from the cinema. The ones you probably bought to see Avatar 3D. I had a pair from watching Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland” earlier in the year and quite remarkably, they are the exact same pair as she has. So she told me all I had to do was pop out the lenses – not break them but actually push them out. So I did and yes, I had myself a great pair of geek glasses. Now I am delighted – thanks to her. Yay. But now I need a new pair of 3D glasses.

Hi there, commented on your Yahoo Ask. Yes, I love those glasses a lot! I am in a theatre production where I have to wear a pair (admittedly cheaper) like that… but much rounder.

Mitchell: those are great glasses. I envy you for being a part of the theatre production. Must be brilliant fun!

Across the “pond” here in America the 3D Glasses are free… but you are asked to recycle them :)
