More fashion retailers are promoting the “socks worn with high heels” look

You may remember a few weeks ago when I blogged about TOPSHOP putting up socks and high heels on their window outfit displays. Well, since then there have been some developments as a few more retailers have also jumped on what was once considered a fashion faux pas. ZARA, BERSHKA, FRENCH CONNECTION UK and UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON are the latest brands to be pushing the trend.

Interestingly, the current results from one of my polls suggests that majority of those who voted in it are at least open to the idea of it. The poll posed the following question: “Can socks and high heels ever look good together?” 28% answered “definitely”, 36% voted “it depends on the socks and shoes”, 20% said “it depends on the socks and shoes” and only 16% voted a flat out “no”. Anyway, let’s push ahead and look at some new photos I took!

I love the socks worn with heels look. But I love socks with all shoes, its an added accessory which makes every outfit.

Absolutely. Without accessorizing your outfit, it would look quite plain and dull. It’s the accessories that makes the overall look appear interesting! For men, it’s tougher because we have far less accessories to choose from, and to be honest I wouldn’t want to wear jewellery like some men do. :)

Socks with high heels is a look that I like to rock, so I’m all for it. Especially socks with the more strappy high-heel look, as opposed to pumps. I love the Bershka look best. Great colors are so in this season.

I agree, it’s a great look. Who would have thought the socks and heels look would be “in” again? I am really loving the colours this season, especially when men’s clothes are also getting plenty of bold colours to choose from! Makes a refreshing change from the same old black/grey/navy/brown colours men’s fashion usually sticks to. I am excited!

So, can i use shorts with loafers and ankle socks (dark or black ones, my favourite), it would come handy for me (a boy), as they are comfy, plus i like the sock in sight.
