My Nike X Liberty shoes – it’s love, baby

I bought these a few weeks ago but only got round to wearing them recently. It had to be fate because when I dashed down to Liberty, they only had one pair remaining and to my disappointment those were in size 7. I wear size 9. A very polite gentleman there suggested I try them on anyway and seeing that I had nothing to lose, I sighed and then proceeded to lower myself onto the chair to remove my Converses. My expectations were low and I had pretty much accepted defeat until incredibly my feet managed to slip into them quite comfortably. Hurrah! An American lady passed through the shoe department with her male companion, and she complimented me on the Nikes I had on. That was the icing on the cake. I could not wait to get out my debit card and make them mine – all mine, and now they are. They are made with the Capel J Tana Lawn fabric from the Liberty Art Fabrics collection.

A lady on Twitter asked whether I would be wearing them to the gym and I thought, “Heck no!” These trainers will not be used for any kind of workout. They will be used purely as fashion shoes as they are far too special to be dragged through rigorous exercises.
