As some of you may (or may not) be aware, one of several things that London’s luxury department store, Selfridges, is renowned for is its window dressings. It is known for coming up with inspiring, jaw-dropping visual treats that captures the imagination of the locals and tourists walking past the store. Whether you are as young as a child or mature as a pensioner, you cannot help but pause to take a good look at each and every window all around outside the building. The windows are eye-catching.

It is a place where fashion meets an art. I never tire of looking at them. This is no joke but I remember a time last Christmas, late at night I had been admiring their Christmas theme where a gentleman in his forties came up to me to express a few words of admiration. With tears in his eyes, he told me how much he loved Selfridges’s window dressings, and how they provoked some childhood memories.
