Street Style: two dissimilar styles on the same outfit

I met this woman as she was leaving Somerset House. What I liked is how above her waist, she went for smart wear (button-up shirt and smart jacket) – which would look fine at a business event whereas below the waist level those torn denim shorts and ankle boots are what you would expect to see women to wear at a music festival. Cover up either half of her body by putting your hand over the image and notice they are two contradicting styles. Yet they look good together.

She added me on Twitter later in the day and from there I found out she is a fashion writer who has been published by Grazia, Tatler and The Sunday Times STYLE Magazine. She is also a presenter and reporter for Ireland’s RTE. Her name is Angela Scanlon. I like what you wore, Angela!

Ah, Angela Scanlon is one of Ireland’s top style queens, she knows exactly how to rock the trends, but always cater to her personal taste. Definitely one to watch in the British fashion industry!
