At the ELLE Style Awards last night, the surprise of the night was the arrival of Blake Lively aka Gossip Girl’s Serena van der Woodsen. When she first arrived in a coat covering her blue Emilio Pucci dress, there was a complete silence from the photographers and fans for a few seconds before we all realised who it was as we first saw her in the dark, away from the bright lights of the red carpet. Blake was lovely. Many celebrities walked on without signing autographs for fans and even those who sign, only did so for 2-3 fans. Blake spent some time writing her signature on the notepads of many adoring fans. She even went to fans waiting near the back of the crowd to ensure it wasn’t just those at the front getting all the good stuff. Easily gets my vote for the nicest celeb of the night.
Karen Gillan. My God, she is tall for a girl – I am guessing 6 foot, and very beautiful. I love her ginger hair. What amused me was that nearly all the women came wearing stylish dresses and glamourous heels yet Karen wore a blouse, shorts and a pair of black lace-up wedges. She looked super fashionable.
