Artisan shoes by Estonian designer Kärt Põldmann

I fell in love instantly the moment my eyes saw Kärt’s shoes. It was at an evening party at The International Fashion Showcase near Somerset House during London Fashion Week. The party was to promote some of the emerging designers from Estonia, and Kärt was invited to join the British Fashion Council’s International Fashion Showcase this year. The elegance of her designs really captured my attention – the shapes, the colours and also my love of patent leather. She makes shoes for men and women, and each pair are crafted by local shoemakers using fine quality leathers from Italian tanneries. Kärt works with local cobblers and has developed a distinctive artisan production method for the creation of her collection. The designs are heavily inspired by her Nordic heritage.

Are they not pure eye-candy?
