In pictures: Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2014 collection

Louis Vuitton’s 2014 Pre-Fall collection brings about timeless classics with a utilitarian vibe and produces a wardrobe of modern staples using luxury fabrics. Going through the colour palette from deep rich tones and black through grey and midnight blue to green, the image of a strong independent women emerges.

The suiting is transformed, as are the classic shapes such as the trench coat which has now been converted into a wearable cape. Day dresses are given a new look by embroidered sequins. Intricate embellishment is a major influence of the collection, with the lace intarsia changing the LV graffiti motif, combining toughness with feminity.

In accessories, the highlights includes a zippered snood in fisher fur with a graffiti lining, Louis Vuitton knucklebusters, a wool and cashmere knit collar with fox trim, glamourously oversized sunglasses in ace tate and leather.
