Last night: Launch Party For Parisian footwear brand Bobbies in Covent Garden

Bobbies loves colour. That much is quite obvious the moment you browse through its selections of shoes. One day a few years ago, two Parisian friends Antoine and Alexis found themselves charmed by the elegance their home city, and their travels around the world. It was their desire to produce shoe collections that pushed the traditional boundaries and in 2010 Bobbies was born, setting out to symbolise the French way of life through uniqueness and sophistication. Today it has not only refreshed the look of classic loafers but but desert boots, flat shoes and slippers with its own distinctive touch.

Spurred by strong online sales from the UK, Bobbies has opened not only its first store in the UK but its first stand alone store outside France. Anyone who truly embraces colours will be delighted – perfect for colour coordinating with your outfits. My besties, Leroy Dawkins and Prince Cassius were DJ-ing all evening, belting out some fine tunes. Naturally I went down to support them and join the dance party. Bobbies’ UK shop is located within Covent Garden’s busy shopping district, right next to the Royal Opera House – an area that promises great exposure.
