It is quite difficult to find a pair of unique sunglasses, unless you opt to go for vintage and Adidas has come up with the idea of customizing your own pair. The clever part is that you can even see what it would look like on your face without leaving your home. All you would need is your computer with a web cam or an iPad (and the adidas eyewear app) and you can use its virtual mirror to put the sunglasses on your face after customizing your very own pair. The designers at Adidas wanted to offer its customers the opportunity to stamp their personalities on their own eye pieces.

I was invited to its exclusive launch party to give the concept a try for myself, using the virtual mirror on the iPad app and it was quite fascinating, and mighty simple to use. I could see the sunglasses on my face and when I tilted my head, my very own self customized shades did too. I could have chosen to design an all-black or an all-white pair but that would have been boring, so I produced a blue on black pair. I am informed that there are millions of combinations to choose from – that’s right, millions. To find out more just visit www.adidas.com/eyewear.
