Marios Schwab SS15 with Canon at London Fashion Week

From a young age I have been fascinated with cameras and have been shooting regularly for nearly 10 years. My photos of catwalk shows at fashion weeks have been used in some fairly well known magazines, including Tatler and Stylist. My camera gear consists of the high end Nikon D600 and Sony’s incredible A7S and the Canon 70D which as the best autofocus system I have ever seen in a camera. I love playing with cameras and spending countless hours learning how they work through toying with various settings. I don’t care about the brand name whether it’s Nikon, Canon, Apple. LG – I just like anything that does a remarkable job at what it is made to do.

During London Fashhion Week, Canon got in touch with me and wanted me to try out the very affordable EOS 100D which sells for around £400 and includes 18-55mm zoom lens. So I had a play with it during the unveiling of Marios Schwab’s spring and summer 2015 collection show at Somerset House. I was given the camera literally minutes before the start of the show but quickly mastered all the controls.

It’s auto-focussing system was pretty impressive – particularly as these images were shot in low light with fast movements. It exceeded my expectactions as I didn’t think the camera would be able to produce bright, sharp and clear images. Note that none of the images have been enhanced in any way. They have not been sharpened and the colours have not been interfered with.

All images were captured by me (except the photo of me) using the EOS 100D, which is actually the world’s smallest DSLR camera.
