The faces of London Comic Con MCM Expo!

I was so excited to attend the London Comic Con MCM Expo last week which is basically a paradise for comic and sci-fi fans. Over 70,000 visitors attended over the weekend, and a very large number of them dressed up in fun costumes of their favourite characters from comics and TV shows! At the convention you were given the opportunity to meet stars such as Matt Smith of Doctor Who, the cast from from Misfits, and familiar faces from Primeval, The Walking Dead, Haven, Eureka, New World and many more.

When I went into the venue, my God, the entire area was quite huge. There was so much to see and do, and lots of interesting things to buy. There were photo studios, gaming areas, a comic village, Asian food area, collectables such as action Figures & autographs and another enormous hall for the shows such as the Euro Cosplay Championships. It is a place of enormous fun if it’s your kind of thing, and it certainly was mine. I had never met so many warm and sweet people in one place, all so polite, smiley and many offering hugs. That might sound weird but until you have experienced it for yourself, you won’t fully appreciate just how good it is. I remember when the first day had ended and I boarded the train from Custom House station (outside the venue), absolutely everyone was either smiling or laughing despite the train being fully packed. It was a special feeling.

And now it is over, I am sad to see it gone. The next time we will have the London Comic Con MCM Expo will be in May 2013. I am eagerly looking forward to it.
