London Fashion Week can be quite taxing on your stress level if you work there for more than 2 days. The early morning and long days takes its toll on your body, and even though there are several areas where I can sit down at Somerset House, I find it all too much. It’s noisy, there is no privacy and you have to squeeze your way in between the bodies of people just to find a place to sit. The Fashion Monitor Style Lounge was my savior during London Fashion Week. I am extremely grateful to the Fashion Monitor team as it has always supported my growth as a blogger and the invitation to recuperate at the Style Lounge was exactly what the doctor would order.

During the morning of day 4 at London Fashion Week, I could feel the fatigue running me down and misery creeping in as I headed down to the Style Lounge at the luxurious The May Fair hotel for the very first time that season. It was the best thing I did. I felt the tension disappear from my body when I had my face and shoulders massaged thanks to the Urban Retreat at Harrods team. The delicious lunch they had served everyone was extremely generous in terms of variety and quantity. The range of beverages included had tea, coffee, juices and champagne. You could have your hair done, nails manicured and polished. Makeovers were provided by Boujois and there were fashion brands such as Aubrey, 88Style.me, Danilo Gabrielli and Sarah Angold showcasing a range of their products. It enabled me to get to know them better in a completely relaxing, laid-back environment with a glass of champagne in my hand.

I thoroughly enjoyed having a catch up with some of my friends and left the lounge feeling rejuvenated, and ready to throw myself into several more hours of work at London Fashion Week. It was all exceptionally organised – thank you Fashion Monitor!
