Lyle and Scott partners up with PRESENT London

Located at 140 Shoreditch High Street is a British menswear lifestyle shop co-founded by the same man who founded The Duffer of St. George. Armed with a lifetime’s experience of fashion and style, Eddie Prendergast opened Present London five years ago with Steve Davies. Lyle and Scott is celebrating its 140th year in existence, and for the Spring Summer 2014 season, with number “140” above its door, it has partnered up with Present to unleash a seven-piece capsule collection of Lyle & Scott garments – from cotton crew neck jumpers to polo shirts. 140 years meets 140 Shoreditch High Street. The limited collection features four jumpers and three polo shirts, all British made and feature the original “L&S Ltd” logo and the unique black and gold 140 back-neck labels. They are available online at Lyle and Scott and can be bought in person at the Present London store at 140 Shoreditch High Street.

The PR ladies from Lyle and Scott took me down to meet up with Eddie for a chat and tour inside his shop which stocks all kinds of wonderful goodies. Pencils, fashion magazines, shoes, beautiful socks, jackets, knitted ties, hats, colognes, London souvenirs (and not the cheap nasty ones either), cards and you can even grab some coffee and sit outside on the bench for a bit of people watching. It is a brilliant little place and if, like me, you like a bit of character then it is certainly a place you need to visit.
