The Motel Festival 2014 Party Snaps

Hordes of bloggers gathered together at 229 Great Portland Street for an evening of fun filled with fashion, food and live music. I was quite excited to be going as having attended the last three parties by Motels I knew I would have a good time. It was an opportunity to see many pieces from the new collection and mingle with your blogger friends, including many I had not seen in many months. It may come as a surprise to many but while I get invited to press events by high end brands (Versace, Max Mara, Smythson, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry etc.) I actually don’t get contacted by High Street brands very often, unless they happen to be collaborating with a designer. Many of my blogger friends only get high street brands, and I get almost entirely luxury brands which means it is not very often we get to party together. So naturally I was super excited to be going to this one. I also happen to be an admirer of Motel, particularly for the sparkling sequinned dresses, metallics and geometric prints it makes – the Gabby dress will always be my favourite, and looks far more expensive than it actually is. I have seen the Gabby dress worn by several women I know, and it made them all looked ravishingly beautiful.

The party had a festival theme, with live music provided by Them & Us, and special guest DJ Billie JD Porter spun out the tunes on the decks. Guests drank Malibu from the cocktail bar and posed together in the FujiFilm Instax photo booth. The candy floss and popcorn went down a real treat.

See my little video of Them And Us performing at the party:

Here are some of my favourite pieces from the current collection – they are all available to buy right now via Motel’s website.
