My NIKE x Liberty 2014 trainers

I had been dying to get my hands on a pair of these for a while, and on the day of the launch I waited and waited only to find them completely sold out online, before I could even add a pair to my basket. Then three days later I made my way over to the store for Liberty of London’s press day to view its autumn and winter 2014 collections. Once that was over, I rushed down to the second floor, into the designated Liberty x NIKE area where I thought I would try my luck. I had nothing to lose.

Me: “Hello! I am probably out of luck but I am wondering if by chance you may have a pair of circle print Liberty Nike Roshes in stock?”

Male sales associate: “We do. We had a delivery of more stock earlier.”

Me: “Amazing! May I have size 9 please?”

Male sales associate: “Here you go. Please try them on.”

Me: “It is fine. I do not need to try them on. I will just buy them.”

Male sales associate: “Are you sure? I really would advise you to try them as we have a strictly no refund or exchange policy on these products.”

Me: “Really? Yes, I better try them on then. Thank you for suggesting it to me.”

“There is a mirror a little further down the room. In case you would like to see how they look on you,” a really lovely female sales associate said with a smile.

I tried them on. They fitted me like gloves. Perfect. I walked to the mirror and took a look. Love them. Walked back to the gentleman and lady who were assisting me. Sold. The lady then took me to the room next door where there were two ladies standing by the till. “Hello ladies!” They both stared at me with a smile. Strong eye contact. One complimented me on my dress sense. The other just stared and grinned. The lady who walked me there from the previous room took my cash then placed the shoes inside the beautiful beaming purple Liberty carrier bag. She sealed it and held it up for me to take. I love Liberty prints!
