Launch party: Piquadro opens on Regent Street

This was a launch party for Piquadro’s first store in the UK. The Italian brand was founded back in 1987 by Marco Palmieri, who was a 22 year old engineering student at the time producing small leather goods for third parties. It has grown quite enormously since those days (with over 100 stores worldwide, including stores in Paris and Florence) and now produces luxury leather goods with emphasise on craftsmanship and high quality leather. Its core philosophy is all about combining style with functionality for bags, luggage, beauty cases and small accessories which includes phone cases, wallets, cuff-links, helmets and tablet cases. I love the range of colours it offers – particularly the mustard yellow. The Regent Street 1,400 sq ft store has two floors and has been taken up on a 15 year lease.

Where: 67 Regent Street, London W1. Two minutes away by foot, from Piccadilly Circus tube station.

Who: celebrity guests in attendance included Amber Le Bon, Oliver Proudlock and Jack Guinness.
